where we are

As settlers and beneficiaries of settler colonialism, the context of where we are is also part of who we are. Our learning, teaching and support work take place on illegally occupied and unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ land. The support work we are involved in is a direct result of ongoing state-sanctioned colonial violence and attempt at destruction of Indigenous life-ways. This violence create systems that in themselves require support work, whether professionalized or unacknowledged.
